ARGENTINIAN SHRIMPS FRA DIAVOLO

Ingredients

  • 720 g. of peeled and deveined Argentine shrimp.
  • 10 ml of salt
  • 15 ml of cayenne pepper
  • 30 ml of olive oil
  • ½ finely chopped Spanish onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 25 ml of vermouth (or dry white wine)
  • 450 g. of diced tomato, drained
  • 30 ml of chopped fresh oregano
  • 30 ml of chopped fresh basil

Preparation

  • In a frying pan, heat the oil without smoking it and sprinkle the cayenne pepper.
  • Fry for 30 seconds and add onion, garlic and shrimp.
  • Cook for 3 minutes on each side and deglaze with vermouth.
  • Reduce to almost dry and stir in tomato, basil and oregano.
  • Add salt and simmer for one minute.
  • Dress up.
